Monday- Friday

Red Trolley Tour

1:3o & 4:3o p.m. The 2 1/2 hour tour gives you an overview of the island Drive by various historical points, get a glimpse of residential developments and a brief stop for shopping in Harbour Town. Prepaid reservations required through the Coastal Discovery Museum at 843-689-6767 ext 223. Adult $3o, child $15. Leaves from 100 Wm. Hilton Pkwy.

 

Mondays at 2 pm & Thursdays at 10 am

Honey Horn History Walk

Travel back in time with the stories of Honey Horn's past 200 years. Learn about the planters, the northern hunters who visited in the winter, the islanders who worked on site and the Hacks who lived at Honey Horn from 1950 until the late 1990's. This walk takes you past the places they lived and worked. Meets at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Adult $10, child $5. For further information, please contact 843-689-3033 ext 221

 

Mondays

Lowcountry Nature A to Z

3 pm. From alligators to no-see- ums, learn about some of the area's most intriguing residents and the habitats they call home. Meets at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn.  $5 per person. For further information, please contact 843-689-3033 ext 221

 

Tuesdays and Thursdays

Exploring Pinckney Island

9 am. A brief historical and natural history overview followed by a walking tour (1 1/2 miles) of this National Wildlife Refuge including salt marsh and maritime forest. Wildlife may include a variety of birds, alligators and marsh inhabitants. Prepaid reservations through the Coastal Discovery Museum at 843-689-6767 ext 3: Adult $12 child $7. Meets at Pinckney Island.


Tuesdays

A Walk in the Woods

10 am. Enjoy Honey Horn's beautiful setting, and learn about many of the important plants and trees on site. Learn how the Native Americans used Yaupon holly in their cleansing rituals, how the live oak gets its name and much more about other plants growi ng in the Lowcountry. Meets at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Adult $ to. child $5. For further information, please call 843-689-3033 ext 221

 

Tuesday thru Thursday

Kayaking Jarvis Creek

10 am. Join a certified guide for a closer look at the salt marsh aboard a stable, touring kayak. Venture into creeks and inlets to view local wildlife, such as wading birds and dolphins. No children under 5. Minimum of 3 participants. Prepaid reservations required through the Coastal Discovery Museum at 843-689-6767 ext 223. Adult $27, child $25 (ages 5-12 with adult)

 

Tuesdays & Fridays

Bridge Workshops

These workshops are designed for the intermediate player who wants to learn some of the finer points of the Play of the Hand. Each workshop stands alone and will include bidding and play tips, notes, handouts, and hands dealt to the lesson. Please call Kathie at 843-689-6239 for a list of weekly topics.
